David Bontumasi's short stories have been featured in several literary publications, including Hypertext Magazine, Poached Hare, the Write Launch, Modern Creative Life, the RavensPerch, Black Mirror Magazine, ETA, the deadline, as well as the collection, PRAIRIE AVENUE WRITERS: AN ANTHOLOGY.
His novella, OF THIS EARTH, was published through Lulu Press and tells of one man's journey from Sicily to America in the 1920’s. The story has been called “magical," "moving and compelling” and “achingly beautiful with awesome imagery.”
A Pushcart Prize Nominee, David is hard at work on his second book, a collection of short stories.

Originally from Flint, Michigan, David was an actor and theatre director in Chicago for many years, appearing both on stage and in film, before turning his attention to writing. He is an Associate Board Member at Story Studio Chicago. David lives with his wife just outside Chicago.
